Dear Valued Friend of YOZMA,

The Reform Movement in Israel is thriving with you,
and thanks to you !

In order to nurture and strengthen the foundation of Reform Judaism in Modi'in, we need your continued support!

Modi'in, known as "The City of the Future", will be one of the four largest cities in Israel. YOZMA, the Reform Community of Modi'in, once on the sidelines, has been recognized in recent years as an increasingly important community in this new city. We strive to create a reality where Reform Judaism is in the center of the city's spiritual, cultural, educational and social lives. We are deeply involved in joint projects and cooperative efforts with the municipality as well as with many national agencies and social service organizations.

As our community grows, our standing with the municipal and national authorities continues to grow. Your yearly membership dues and ongoing donations contribute to our fiscal ability to rise to the challenges we have undertaken.

Young, academic and dynamic, Modiin was recently chosen as the focus of the latest Aliya efforts throughout Reform communities in North America, South Africa and Europe. Kehillat YOZMA is proud to be the fortunate congregation to absorb these pioneering families. Their welcome into Modiin and to YOZMA and their successful absorption into the community will be one of our major goals for the coming year.

These developments are of course in addition to YOZMA's ongoing activities: egalitarian Shabbat and holiday services and lifecycle ceremonies, social action, cultural, formal and informal educational programs and frameworks, and much more.

At this critical time in our development, we turn again to you - our generous donors who have supported us in the past, well beyond membership dues, and ask you to contribute yet again because as we grow and develop we need your support even more!

As you know, Kehillat YOZMA operates on a shoestring budget, with minimal government support. YOZMA must rely on the dues and generosity of supporters like you - members, associates, and friends, both in Israel and overseas. While overseas membership dues are $180 USD (or £150) a year, we hope that you will give as generously as you can. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated.

Members of Kehillat YOZMA have just completed recording a CD of our favorite Shabbat melodies. This will be sent to all our overseas friends who have renewed their membership or pledges as a token of our gratitude.

You may donate on-line through the YOZMA web site www.yozma.org.il, or send your check directly to Kehillat YOZMA at the address below. The web site also includes details about donating through a US/ Canadian tax-exempt organization.

Thanking you in advance for your continued support,
